Sampras Noel Kaweesi
Sampras Noel Kaweesi was born in Uganda and graduated with a diploma in development studies with a distinction from Nsamizi Institute of Social Development in Uganda. Sampras worked for Polfre Consult doing social research as a research assistant in 2009 and also volunteered with Ice breakers in Uganda an organization dedicated to LGBTI issues in Uganda.
He relocated to South Africa in 2009 and joined the Human sciences Research Council in 2011 as a free-lance researcher for the Red Tent project in Cape Town working under the guidance of Darlene Miller who holds a PhD in Sociology, Johns Hopkins University and currently working for Rhodes University.
In 2012, was appointed as an Outreach coordinator and he is involved with organizing workshops and assisting the director with delegated tasks. And later took on the portfolio of Book keeper and Administrative officer till 2013.
In 2014, he was appointed as Junior Accountant for Kings River wine Estate in the Breederivier area and still does the bookkeeping of the wine farm as a accounting consultant.
He joined Gender Dynamix in May 2016 and very excited to see the organization reaches to greater heights as well as grow both locally and internationally to become the pillar that it set out to be.
He graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting Sciences from the University of South Africa in 2014 and he is currently studying towards the Advanced diploma in Accounting Sciences with the University of South Africa CTA Level 2) on route to become a Chartered Accountant (CA SA).
He is a passionate individual for human rights of all the LGBTI individuals and one day dreams of a world where everyone will be equal and be free in any gender and sexuality that they deem fit as an individual and not be forced to fit in a box constructed by society.
